Technologies, such as Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) are commonly used in the design and construction of buildings. These technologies enable companies to bring their products to market quicker, more accurately and at less cost. Once construction is complete the management of the structure begins. So often the data used for design and construction is not effectively used to support operations such as facility management, space planning, asset inventory, equipment tracking, etc. We believe in progressive technology utilization and are interested in leveraging new and existing technologies to manage facilities and enterprise operations on a day-to-day basis.
Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) technology is a tool that enables facility managers to effectively employ their space. They can quickly get a snap shot of vacant space locations, use by department, use by individual and allocate space costs based on actual use. A BIM model, populated with the building infrastructure gives an operation the ability to take service requirements to the next level, Intelligent Workplace Management (IWM). Every aspect of the facility operation from HVAC maintenance to computer/communication networks is modeled and managed using technology. Further tasks such as space assignment, utilization, asset tracking, product placement, personnel assignments, workflow management, etc. can be obtained from this same single database.
We are interested in CAFM, BIM and IWM technology that leverages digital data and intelligent facilities information beyond the day-to-day management of real estate assets for corporations. Companies are looking for better, more innovative tools that leverage the use of their facility data and information. Technology is the answer and we are looking for ideas and innovations that help companies more effectively manage their property, personnel, assets and facilities. If you have an idea or application that leverages these technologies we are interested in speaking to you.
The solutions must enable business owners and facility managers to improve their service levels and further contribute to their bottom line. Technology that integrates with and/or leverages existing business systems and processes, promotes sustainable/green technology, enables dashboard interfaces via web browsers, leverages a single data store across multiple uses/departments, are of interest to us. At the present time we are interested only in opportunities in the US and Canada. Interested parties may benefit from synergies with other organizations in the Emergo Group.
